1. Each Group match is the best of 3 tiebreak sets.

2. Each tie is the best of 9 matches (6 singles and 3 doubles).

3. Matches will be stopped if a team has an unassailable lead after the singles matches.

4. Tennis Ireland approved rules apply unless otherwise stated.

5. Advantage rule applies.

6. Teams may not change the order of their players during a match after they have been registered with the referee.

7. Teams must arrive 30 minutes before scheduled play and report to the tournament office. Failure to arrive on time         will result in a walkover.

8. The tournament will be based on a round robin format. Winners of each group will progress to the semi-finals.

9. There will be a plate competition for the runners-up of each group.

(Semi-Finals are doubles only)

10. Dress code of Belfast Boat Club will be strictly adhered to.

11. Proper tennis shoes to be worn and must be predominantly white (including socks).

12. Clothing must be recognised tennis clothing. Black, denim, beachwear, sports teams shirts are not acceptable.

13. In the event of a dispute the referee’s decision is final.

14. Each team of 6 must appoint a captain who is responsible for their affairs.

15. In exceptional circumstances e.g. an injury, a player from a lower squad may selected. Referee’s discretion applies.

15. Substitutes are allowed but can only play for the squad they are selected for.

16. If a team turns up with a player missing they begin the tie 2-0 down.
